Acoustic data on the abundance and distribution of nekton during JOINT-II mainly between 15 S and 17 degrees S both in 1976 and 1977 are presented. This report includes the mapping data from 1977 and some specialized studies outside the proposed JOINT-II area and extending north to 11 degrees S. The report includes tables of biomass estimates and maps of horizontal distribution of nekton. Methods of data collection, data processing, and sources of error are discussed.
