This report, Volume I is part of a 21-volume index to the Catalog of Information on Water Data. Each volume corresponds to one of the 21 water-resources regions of the United States. The index is a basic tool for the coordination and planning of water-data programs. The listings in each volume of the index are arranged according to four principal data categories. These categories are streamflow and stage, quality of surface water, quality of ground water, and areal investigations and miscellaneous activities.
