Volatile Organic Compound Emission Inventory for Non-Attainment Areas in Louisiana.

This project includes the development of a volatile organic compound emission inventory for 17non-attainment parishes in Air Quality Control Region (AQCR) 106and 2non-attainment parishes in AQCR 022. The New Orleans and Baton Rouge metropolitan areas are located in AQCR 106and the Shreveport metropolitan area is located in AQCR 022. The inventories were compiled in accordance with the methodology described in Procedures for the Preparation of Emission Inventories for Volatile Organic Compounds. The inventories consist of emissions from stationary point sources,stationary area sources,and mobile sources. Stationary point sources account most of the emissions in the Baton Rouge area. Emissions are more evenly distributed between the three categories in the New Orleans area,and mobile source emissions are predominant in the Shreveport area. The volatile organic compound emission inventory represents calendar year 1977.
