AFOS (Automation of Field Operations and Services) Crop and Soil Information Report Program

For 31 weeks, beginning in April, Great Falls WSFO prepares a Crop and Soil Information report for 41 stations in Montana which is forwarded to the Department of Agriculture in Helena. Each week, the following information is submitted for each station: High/low temperature; past week precipitation; precipitation accumulation since April 1; accumulative precipitation normals; percent of normal precipitation; average temperature. This program prepares this report based on the input weekly data and stored normal data resulting in a large time savings.
