Continuing Quest: Large-Scale Ocean Science for the Future

摘要

The International Decade of Ocean Exploration (IDOE), a National Science Foundation program, is devoted to large-scale, cooperative oceanic research concerned not only with increased scientific knowledge and understanding but also with the expectation that its findings could result in the more effective utilization of the ocean and its resources. This report was undertaken to provide advice and guidance on the nature of programs to follow the IDOE.
