Analyses of Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAH) in Finnish Leafy Vegetables

As a part of an inter-Nordic research program on polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) in the living environment, 38 leaf samples collected in various parts of Finland were analyzed for 10 PAH compounds. The combined PAH concentrations ranged from nondetectable to 100 ppb, strongly varying with the distance from possible PAH sources.
