Included in this narrative are three habitats types that are structurally similar and provide similar animal habitat, but with dissimilar plant species composition. Similarities shared by all three include the presence of standing water or saturated substrate, and domination by woody vegetation. Plant species, drainage, substrate, and several other factors differ between the three types.
