Intensive Archaeological Survey of Drill Pads Candy Butte Number 4 and 5 in Sandoval County, New Mexico

The Center for Anthropological Studies (Center) just completed an intensive archeological field investigation of two proposed drill areas located near San Luis, New Mexico. These two drill pads occur on land administered by the Bureau of Land Management. No cultural resources were encountered during this survey and, therefore, the Center recommends that an archeological clearance be granted for the proposed exploration of oil and gas.
