Intergovernmental Science, Engineering and Technology Advisory Panel Compendium of Executive Summaries of AAAS Workshops on ISETAP Priority Problems

A series of workshops was conducted in 1978-79 on priority problems identified by state and local officials through the Intergovernmental Science, Engineering, and Technology Panel (ISETAP). Research, development, and technical activities which could help solve these problems were examined. This volume contains executive summaries of the workshop reports on the following topics: management, finance, and personnel; community and economic development; health and human services for the elderly; transportation needs; fire safety and disaster preparedness; health and human services innovations; scientific and technical aspects of hazardous waste management; public works and public utilities; and energy and resource recovery from solid wastes.
