Community Health Assistance Project of the Barrio Comprehensive Child Health Care Center

The Community Health Assistance Project was established to assist a Mexican-American neighborhood health clinic in providing community outreach, follow-up, and health education services to low-income clients in a Mexican-American neighborhood on the west side of San Antonio, Texas. The goal of the Project was to identify and test innovative outreach and follow-up techniques for Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnosis and Treatment Program (EPSDT) type services.
