Conflicts over the Columbia River, Seminar Conducted by Water Research Institute, Oregon State University, Spring Quarter 1980

摘要

A recent report of the Pacific Northwest River Basins Commission discussed the Columbia River characteristics. Some of the factors involved were presented in this Seminar, covering: River uses; concern over the Columbia estuary; fish management and protection; River protein/power/preservation/politics; Indian fishing; costs/benefits/trade-offs of agriculture and hydro-power; River water quality; international management; and navigation. In terms of river use, the main stem of the Columbia is essentially fully developed.
