This document is a Programmers' Manual for the computer-based mathematical simulation program entitled 'Truck and Tractor-Trailer Dynamic Response Simulation - T3DRS:V1' developed in 1979 by the Highway Safety Research Institute/University of Michigan. This manual provides an introduction to the simulation program, with a description of its internal characteristics sufficient for a user to understand the program operational flow and to load, execute and debug simulation runs. A separate Users' Manual (FHWA-RD-79-125) describes the external characteristics in terms of the input/output data structure used.
