摘要

After decades of scarcity or absence, members of the crustacean genus Daphnia have become very abundant in Lake Washington in recent years. One hypothesis to explain the recent success of Daphnia is a decline in the abundance of the predatory crustacean Neomysis mercedis, apparently caused by changes in fish predation. This study focuses on the selection of prey by Neomysis and its relevance to the Lake Washington zooplankton community.
