This report is a condensation of a more comprehensive, technical publication by the same authors entitled Responses of Submersed Vascular Plant Communities to Environmental Change. Environmental parameters discussed include: light transmission, fluctuating water levels, wave action, sedimentation, nutrients, and seasonal effects. Potential impacts of various developmental activities are discussed briefly.
