The treated effluent use by the Buckeye Irrigation Company is the largest in the State of Arizona. It is unique in that it is used by an irrigation district. This two-year study addressed three objectives: (1) identify changes during an extended period of application of treated waste water to irrigated fields; (2) make a preliminary evaluation of the effects of effluent use on groundwater conditions; and (3) make a preliminary evaluation of changes in water costs and farm profits.
