Project Burn Prevention is a response to the increased national recognition among physicians, educators, legislators, and experts in the field that the country's fire and burn mortality rate is a national disgrace. The goal of Project Burn Prevention was to explore the feasibility of using public education to increase knowledge, change behaviors, and thereby reduce the number and severity of burn injuries.
