摘要

The effects of vitamin B1, vitamin B12, temperature, light intensity and photoperiod on growth and zoosporogenesis were investigated by factorial experiments. Statistical analysis showed all effects to be significant as well as some of the interaction terms. Zoosporogenesis was more sensitive to vitamin limitation than was dry weight production. Growth and dry weight production exhibited significantly different optima. Growth was most strongly influenced by temperature whereas photoperiod exerted the strongest influence on zoosporogenesis. Due to the experimental design it was possible to separate the light intensity and photoperiod effects and analysis showed photoperiod to have a primary influence on zoosporogenesis. An 8:16 short day photoperiod elects the greatest number of zoosporangia.
