Further Investigations into the Treatment of Carryover Slurries from Coal Preheating and Pipeline-Charging

The Objectives were: (a) To determine how to control the tar content of charging-main carryover on the BCRA large-scale test plant. (b) To produce high-tar slurries similar to those expected in industrial practice. (c) To continue the investigations into means of collecting, thickening and drying these slurries. (d) To determine the effects of recycling dried carryover material.
