The report discusses three industrial concerns: (1) Chase and Faulkner Mills site (woolen products)--1863-1937; (2) Hamilton Manufacturing Company (cotton and woolen products)--c.1825-1900; and (3) Lawrence Manufacturing Company (cotton and woolen)--1832-present. For each company there is an historical sketch detailing economic and building evolution. Inventory forms and photographs provide descriptive information about structures and property use.
