The investigation covered the use of mainly alumina-silica (ceramic) fibers as applied in high temperature industrial environments. The main emphasis is on the four major manufacturing groups: petro-chemical; stone, clay and glass; ferrous and non-ferrous metals; and the fabricated metal product industries.
