The report presents selected data from a survey of business establishments conducted during the period November 1978 - January 1979. The survey was a part of a larger study undertaken to analyze the determinants of the decision by business establishments to offer group health plans and to provide a description of establishments which do and do not offer group health plans. The data presented here is only a part of the information contained in the data set generated by this survey of business establishments. The primary objective of this report is to introduce the reader to the contents of the data and to highlight its strengths and weaknesses. Accordingly, this report is descriptive rather than analytical. In addition to presenting the data, it briefly describes the special features of the data set and discusses its usefulness and limitations.
