Biological Evaluation of Environmental Impacts: The Proceedings of a Symposium Held at Tulane University, New Orleans, Louisiana on June, 1976

The proceedings of a symposium entitled 'Biological Evaluation of Environmental Impact' are presented. The focus of the symposium was on accurate evaluation, by ecologists, of the biological significance of environmental impacts, and transmission of such evaluations to legislators and the public, for the preparation and review of environmental assessments. Topics presented are wide-ranging and include a discussion of the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969; uses of baseline studies in environmental impact assessment; and evaluation of impacts on continental shelf environments, arid and semi-arid environments, and on endangered and threatened flora and fauna.
