Lake Mead's fishery is a national recreation asset; it is a source of social benefits not only to anglers in the States of Nevada and Arizona but to anglers from many regions throughout the nation. The objective of managing the resources of Lake Mead, in conjunction with other impoundments in the Colorado River system becomes one of maximizing the value of system output relative to cost. This report clarifies these values.
