VA Improved Pension Program: Some Persons Get More Than They Should and Others Less

The report describes undesirable features in the treatment of needy persons receiving improved pension and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits. It also describes how the Veterans Administration (VA) and Social Security Administration currently coordinate the delivery of veterans' pension benefits, social security retirement and disability benefits, and SSI benefits to elderly and disabled persons.
