Theoretical and Experimental Behaviour of Lightly Stiffened Box-Girder Diaphragms

Two large-scale box-girder diaphragms were recently tested to destruction. The tests involved lightly stiffened diaphragms which were deliberately under-designed in relation to the Merrison Interim Design Rules.
