Fish Spawning Grounds in Wisconsin Waters of the Great Lakes

Some of the recent efforts to restore the Great Lakes to a state resembling their original condition have focused on reestablishing or rehabilitating native fish populations. For the best chance of success, these efforts require detailed knowledge of the life history of each species, including the location of both present and past spawning grounds. This report summarizes the results of a study designed to locate as many of the spawning grounds in Wisconsin waters of the Great Lakes as possible through interviews with Wisconsin's commercial fishermen.
