Southeast Conference on Ground Water Management Held at Birmingham, Alabama on January 30-31, 1980

A summary report is given on a conference on Groundwater Management, the fourth in a series of invitational regional conferences on significant water resource problems of the Southeast. The objectives of this conference were to explore the strengths/weaknesses of State programs related to groundwater management and to identify/describe remedies in areas of legislation, administrative procedures, funding levels, research, technology transfer and education. Summaries contained in this report were taken from papers presented under categories on State groundwater programs/problems (covering Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia).
