The guide is designed to provide physchologists and other measurement specialists in the Office of Personnel Management, in various Federal agencies, and in State and local governments with a brief source document which summarizes the procedures for developing work sample and other performance tests. This second edition continues to bring together techniques and procedures used by those who have been extensively involved in performance test development. It also incorporates the legal requirements of the Uniform Guidelines on Employee Selection Procedures. References are made to texts and other sources which will provide background material.
