Mother Loss and Adoption in Multiple Caretaking Monkey

摘要

Since multiple caregivers from day of birth is normal for langur monkeys, the importance of mother versus other caregivers, specifically the response of infants to mother loss, was studied. Infant reactions to loss varied from slight to death.
