Report on a Reconnaissance Archeological Survey of Park Service C and O Canal Property Affected by the Rock Run WSSC (Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission) Alternate Points of Discharge

This report contains the results of a reconnaissance archeological survey of National Park Service lands along the Potomac River from Chain Bridge north to .1 of a mile north of Brickyard Road, and between McArthur Boulevard and the Potomac River. Research involved historical documentation, surface examination, some controlled subsurface testing, and artifact analysis. The report is divided into five geographical sections, and each section is subdivided to include description, evaluation and recommendations concerning the cultural resources located.
