This annotated bibliography contains 536 citations of documents, including newsletters, directories, journals, texts, bibliographies, and proceedings. Under the heading of professional ethics, such topics as professionalism in engineering, bribes and kickbacks, codes of ethics, and competitive bidding are discussed. A section on social responsibility in engineering deals with social responsibilities of individual engineers, professional societies, and government as well as the regulation of technology through tort law. Appendixes include a list of works dealing with technology and social institutions, social thought, culture, and nature.
