The Coastal Resources Division of the Department of Natural Resources reaffirmed its decision to use the Critical Areas Program to implement the Geographic Areas of Particular Concern Program. The Coastal Resources Division has assisted by providing financial support and preparing a report suggesting which classes and locally recommended areas in the Coastal Zone should be given early consideration for designation.
