Permeability and Elastic Wave Velocity and Attenuation of Tight Porous Rock

摘要

A rapid, accurate method for measuring the gas permeability of low permeability sandstones has been developed and tested. The apparatus can measure permeability from .01 microdarcy to several hundred microdarcy with simulated pore pressure and confining pressure applied to the sample. Water or brine saturation can also be varied to determine its effect on gas permeability.
