Archaeological Inventory Report of the Owlshead/Amargosa-Mojave Basin Planning Units of the Southern California Desert Area

The project is part of a series of studies being done in the California Desert. A total of 151 historic and prehistoric sites were surveyed. Sections are included concerning history, geography/geomorphology, biota & ethnography as background for understanding site distribution patterns and resource potentials of the area. Each site encountered is briefly described as to content and locale and evaluated.
