Neuroleptic Pharmacokinetics Using a Receptor Assay

Single-dose pharmacokinetic curves for neuroleptics using a dopamine receptor assay were studied. It was concluded that the dopamine receptor assay as used in this study cannot be used to define single-dose pharmacokinetics of small doses of neuroleptics. Equipotent displacement curves also could not be determined. As to protein binding, concentrations were below the sensitivity of the assay and could not be determined.
