An Approach for Gross Design of Operations Management Systems

Operations management is defined as a set of activities concerned with the design and operation of systems for manufacture, transport, supply or service. Operations management is a problem area with a growing economic importance. The research problem here is limited to the very first stages of the design process starting from a vague problem identification and ending at a project proposal for detailed design of improvements.
