摘要

Two long culverts--much longer than culverts normally are--were constructed as part of a highway project which necessitated relocation of portions of Bull Creek. The objective of this research was to study the fish population, bottom fauna and water quality in the small stream system before, during and after highway construction. This report primarily contains information on the status of the stream before construction began. Before road construction, Bull Creek was a moderately enriched, warm-water stream with bottom fauna and fish populations similar to those elsewhere in the Allegheny-Ohio watershed.
