The overall goal of the Business Assistance and Resource Center is the development of the economic base of New Mexico. This is slowly being accomplished by assisting some of the numerous business people, local governments and other groups and individuals in making sound decisions which may result in stabilizing existing firms, encouraging the expansion of sound businesses, increasing basic employment, raising personal income levels and stimulating capital investment. In striving toward this goal, BARC established objectives related to the delivery of management services and technical assistance, information services, research services, educational services, and providing assistance to governmental units.
