Current Status of EPA Office of Mobile Source Air Pollution Control Characterization Projects: Summary

EPA-OMSAPC is conducting a thorough characterization of unregulated emissions on a variety of current and prototype engines. Extensive work is also underway to see how various fuel parameters affect regulated and unregulated emissions. This latter work includes projects on alternate fuels such as methanol as well as fuels derived from coal or oil shale.
