Sediment and Organic Matter Transport in Oregon Coast Range Streams

The overall objective of this study was to provide an improved understanding of sediment and organic matter movement in mountain streams, utilizing monitoring of two streams, Flynn Creek and Oak Creek, located in Central Oregon's Coast Range, for bedload transport, particulate organic matter transport, total suspended solids (TSS) concentration, and turbidity. Rating curves were developed through the relationship that particulate transport equalled a constant times streamflow (Q) to some power.
