The Distribution of Exotic Woody Plants at Cumberland Gap National Historical Park

The purpose of this study was to locate and quantify populations of woody exotic plants in Cumberland Gap National Historical Park (Ky.-Va.-Tenn.) and to determine their effects on the park's native vegetation. A total of 20 woody exotic species were located and evaluated in terms of site distribution, total area, degree of spread, and effects on native species. Some suggestions regarding exotic plant control and management are also presented.
