The objective of this study was to describe the costs and quality of meals being served with Older Americans Act Title III-C funding. The study was designed to analyze the extent to which the cost, nutrient, content, and safety of meals are influenced by (1) The delivery system (meal production method) in use by a project; (2) The size of the project (number of meals served per day); (3) The setting of the project (urban versus rural); and (4) The geographic region in which the project was located.
