Decayed, Missing, and Filled Teeth among Persons 1-74 Years: United States, 1971-74

The report from the National Center for Health Statistics presents estimates of decayed, missing, and filled (DMF) permanent teeth among persons 1-74 years of age by age, race, sex, and selected demographic characteristics. These estimates are based on examinations conducted during 1971-74 on 20,749 persons who were selected by a probability sampling to represent the civilian noninstitutionalized population of those aged 1-74 years living in the United States.
