Effect of Shock Wave Emitted from Electric Spark Discharges on the Energy Required for Spark Ignition of Dust Clouds

A theoretical description of the pressure wave from a spark discharge is developed, and the interaction with dust particles in the vicinity is studied. This interaction effects the ability of the spark to ignite the dust particles.
