The Plan has the following objectives: Develop facilities to assure continued use of rail and generate increased shipment, by railroad, of commodities into and out of Madison; Development and location of all river port facilities within the designated zoned riverfront industrial area which would be under the control of the Port Authority; and Develop an industrial park on the hilltop to compliment the intermodal transportation system.
