A Summary of Environmental Geologic Studies on the Southeastern United States Atlantic Outer Continental Shelf, 1977-1978

The general purpose of the Bureau Land Management (BLM), Environmental Studies Program is: (1) to provide information about the Outer Continental Shelf environment that will enable them to make sound management decisions regarding the development of mineral resources; and (2) acquire information which will enable BLM to answer questions about the impact of oil and gas exploration. The comprehensive final report summarizes in detail the methods, techniques, instruments, and procedures utilized in accomplishing these objectives, and the results, interpretations, and conclusions based thereon.
