Dental Visits Volume and Interval since Last Visit, United States, 1978 and 1979

Statistics are presented on the volume of dental visits and the time interval since the last dental visit, by age, sex, race, family inactivity status, place of residence, and geographic region. Estimates are based on data collected in health interviews during 1978 and 1979. Statistics are also presented on the proportion of persons with no out-of-pocket dental expense, those with expense by selected expense intervals, and per capita annual dental expense, by age and sex. Estimates are based on data collected by self-reporting during January-March 1978 on out-of-pocket spending for 1977.
