Proposal: The Effects of an Inservice Education Workshop on Self-Esteem and Job Satisfaction - Part 1

Licensed practical nurses at the Veterans Administration Medical Center often have heavy responsibilities with little supervision, low pay, low status, and little attention from hospital management. They are regarded by many managers as being a group characterized by low job satisfaction and low self-esteem. The present study attempts to assess the value of in-service training in alleviating this problem, and discusses the preparation and results of an all-day workshop designed for LPNs.
