摘要

Research on bond stress situations in reinforced concrete structures is reviewed. A new type of tension test specimen is developed in which the conventional reinforcing bar is split in half and embedded in the opposite sides of the concrete cross section. The placement of secondary cracks is noted and the increase in the end-slip is found to be less than expected from the classical slip theory. An axisymmetrical finite element analysis is made to simulate the behavior of specimens just prior to formation of secondary cracks. This method is determined to be satisfactory for predicting steel stress distribution, total end slips, and the local bond-stress slip relationship.
