Ultimate Critical Outlet Width for Flow in Mass Flow Hoppers

摘要

Whereas the Jenike method gives the critical outlet width for recommencement of flow, it indicates no such limit for continuous flow. A new theory, giving critical outlet widths for both cases, is presented. Fair agreement with experimental evidence is demonstrated.
